Abstract
Cumhuriyet döneminin sanatı ile fikir dünyası yan yana giden önemli isimlerinden birisi de Sezai Karakoç’tur. Bir sanatkâr ve düşünce adamı olarak Karakoç için peygamber, yalnızca Allah’ın insanlara gönderdiği bir yol gösterici değildir. O, insanı varoluşunun bir saçmalık olmadığı bilincine erdiren bir medeniyet kahramanıdır. Hz. Âdem ile başlayan insanın yolculuğu aslında medeniyetlerin serüveniyle paralel ilerler. Sanatçı, bu noktada peygamberleri yeryüzünde medeniyeti inşa eden öncüler olarak görür. Onlar medeniyet ve varlık ideasının temelinde duran hakikat ışığını zamana yansıtır. Bu bağlamda Karakoç’un diriliş ruhunun asıl öncüleri de peygamberler olacaktır.
Yazarın Yitik Cennet adlı eseri başta olmak üzere şiirleri ve düşünce yazılarında dile getirdiği peygamber tasavvuru bilindik algılardan uzak, oldukça özgündür. Hz. Âdem’den Hz. Muhammed (SAV)’e kadar pek çok resul ile nebi hakkında düşüncelerini dile getiren Karakoç’un bir düşünür ve şair olarak peygambere bakışındaki çeşitliliği ortaya koymak bu açıdan önemlidir.
