Abstract
Answering the increasing rate of acquittal verdicts handed on corruption charges, this study analyses judges’ interpretation of corruption and its implication to their judgements. We find that judges perceive corruption in either narrow or broad interpretations. Narrow approach tends to result in acquittal while broad interpretation ends in guilty verdicts.
Pemaknaan sempit cenderung menghasilkan putusan bebas, sedangkan pemaknaan luas cenderung melahirkan putusan bersalah.
