Abstract
A hermenêutica filosófica de Paul Ricoeur conheceu sua primeira elaboração no segundo tomo de sua Philosophie de la volonté: La symbolique du mal. Já nesta etapa o filósofo francês oferece uma grande contribuição à hermenêutica bíblica, uma vez que analisa os símbolos e o mito através dos quais o mal é confessado e narrado. A segunda elaboração da hermenêutica de Ricoeur é centrada no texto. Para isso, ele aprofunda a tradição hermenêutica anterior, além de estabelecer um diálogo fecundo com os estruturalistas e os filósofos da linguistic turn. As teorias da metáfora e da narração fazem parte desta nova hermenêutica, que não aborda os signos da cultura por eles mesmos, mas tendo em vista uma hermenêutica da ação de um sujeito (si) capaz. Este texto apresenta uma breve síntese dos principais elementos da hermenêutica ricoeuriana dos textos, indicando, num segundo momento, seus desdobramentos na exegese bíblica.
