Abstract
Bu çalışmada, çocuk ve gençlik edebiyatı, bu edebiyatın gelişim süreci ve bu sürecin içinde bulunan anne-baba, öğretmen, yazar ve kütüphaneciler sorumlulukları ile ele alınmıştır. Çocuk ve gençlerde kitap okuma alışkanlığının sağlanması, onların değer sistemlerinin desteklenerek hayata hazırlanması ve sağlıklı birer birey olarak yetiştirilmesi için anne-baba başta olmak üzere öğretmen, yazar ve kütüphanecilerin nasıl bir bakış açısına sahip olmaları gerektiği değerlendirilmektedir. Amaç, kitapla olan ilişkisinde çocuk ve gençlerin karşı karşıya değil, başbaşa bırakılmasını sağlayacak tarafları, görev ve sorumlulukları ile tanımlayabilmektir.
