Abstract
The paper which follows aims to present a translation of the Ordo ad dandan poenitentiam written by Regino of Prüm [ca. 840-915]. The confessional questionnaire was included in the canonical collection known as Libri duo de synodalibus causis et disciplinis ecclesiasticis. It was the basis of the well-known penitential of bishop Burchard of Worms, Corrector sive medicus, which was written almost a century later. Regino's work has not been translated into our modern languages yet, with the exception of a partial translation into the German language
