Al celebrar el sexquicentenario del nacimiento de José Eusebio Caro, una vez más la Patria y la Iglesia, tan amadas por él y por él glorificadas, se recogen en acto religioso de gratitud y admiración a este gran protagonista de uno de los períodos más trascendentales de su historia; a este ejemplar de humanidad presidido por el signo del genio, cuyo nombre, objeto de contradicción en vida, con el paso del tiempo va cobrando perfiles legendarios en la conciencia del pueblo.
