Abstract
Bu araştırmada Ankara’daki 6 yaş ve üzeri nüfusun halk kütüphanesi kullanımları sosyolojik açıdan irdelenmektedir. Bunun için Ankara’da alt, orta ve üst sosyo-ekono- mik semtlerde 600 hanede oturan 1800 kişiye anket uygulanmıştır. Araştırmada kişilerin halk kütüphaneleri kullanımlarının yaş, cinsiyet, medeni durum, meslek, eğitim düzeyi, coğrafik geçmiş, gelir düzeyi, anne-baba eğitim düzeyi gibi değişkenlerle ilişkisi incelenmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda, kişilerin halk kütüphanesi kullanımlarının bu değişkenlere bağlı olarak farklılık gösterdiği anlaşılmıştır.
