Abstract
La liberación económica en Bolivia, incentiva el surgimiento de múltiples nuevas empresas de medios, parece favorecer la concentración de su propiedad, y dinamiza el mercado publicitario. Los medios alternativos y populares se muestran incapaces de afrontar a adaptarse a los cambios y desaparecen o agonizan. Sin embargo en el nuevo orden comunicacional, que describe el autor, hay espacios que parecen desaprovechados por quienes buscan la real democratización de los medios. El artículo refiere la relación entre el desarrollo económico y la comunicación, el ascenso empresarial.
