Abstract
Nous avons été conduit, pour tester la résistance au Phylloxéra, à rechercher une méthode applicable dès la fin de la première année de semis, au cours de laquelle les plants sont cultivés en serre et alimentés avec une solution en hydroponique. A la fin de ce premier cycle végétatif, les plantes ont acquis une très grande vigueur et le système racinaire est particulièrement bien développé. Les jeunes racines d'un an, à épiderme vivant non exfolié, peuvent alors être maintenues in vitro et contaminées par des galles phylloxériques. MILLARDET (1897) et BOUBALS (1966) ont ainsi réussi à faire développer des phylloxéras sur des racines en survie.
