Abstract
<p>Esse é o primeiro registro de desfolha causada por Compsus azureipes Hustache em um plantio de taxi-branco (Sclerolobium paniculatum), espécie vegetal promissora para fins energéticos. Os ataques foram verificados no Município de Almeirim, Pará, em setembro de 2010. Trata-se, também, do primeiro relato de injúrias, causadas por um inseto, que demandam intervenção em plantios experimentais dessa espécie.</p><p>doi: 10.4336/2011.pfb.31.68.381</p>
<p>This is the first register of defoliation caused by Compsus azureipes Hustache in a plantation of taxi-branco (Sclerolobium paniculatum), tree specie for energy purposes. The attacks were verified in Almeirim County, State of Pará, Brazil, in September 2011.
