Abstract
Se realiza un análisis crítico de las guías 2010 de reanimación básica pediátrica (Basic Life Support-Soporte de vida básico pediátrico [BLS]) de la Sociedad Americana de Cardiología (American Heart Association [AHA]) y del Consejo Europeo de Resucitación (European Resuscitation Council [CER]), con el fin de ilustrar de forma práctica al reanimador pediátrico para que logre adquirir técnica de evaluación y manejo sistemático, que le otorguen rapidez, eficiencia y seguridad en el momento de enfrentarse a un niño en paro cardiopulmonar o muerte súbita cardiaca.
