Abstract
Durante un estudio entomológico de la leishmaniosis realizado en La Macarena,
Departamento del Meta, Colombia, se colectó un espécimen macho de Brumptomyia
pintoi, el cual constituye el primer registro de la especie para el país. Este flebotomíneo
fue capturado con un aspirador bucal mientras reposaba en el interior de una cueva
de armadillo.
