Abstract
Hemos planteado una experiencia en la que se han utilizado el cine, la literatura y el trabajo de laboratorio como soportes que nos ayuden a desarrollar, de una forma más amena y participativa, la adquisición de nuevos aprendizajes relacionados con la transmisión y el contagio de algunas enfermedades infecciosas. Se ha elegido el texto de Saramago “Ensayo sobre la ceguera” y su correspondiente versión cinematográfica “A ciegas” como herramientas de trabajo. Con ello hemos querido desarrollar la capacidad lectora de nuestro alumnado, a la vez que fomentamos la adquisición de nuevos conocimientos científicos que ayuden a mejorar su alfabetización científica, intentando conectar ciencia y vida cotidiana.
