Abstract
A finalidade do presente artigo é estudar os aspectos formais que aproximam a narrativa jornalística das práticas literárias, tendo-se como parâmetro de análise o livro Radical Chique, de Tom Wolfe. Busca-se investigar a obra Radical Chique sob o viés de textos basilares das áreas de teoria literária e da narrativa, tomando os autores Mikhail Bakhtin e Hayden White como referenciais para se compreender as imbricações entre as narrativas jornalísticas, históricas e literárias. Com o estudo, pretende-se alcançar uma melhor compreensão acerca dos mecanismos ficcionais que sustentam e aproximam os discursos jornalísticos e literários, ressaltando-se as questões da linguagem, da polifonia, do dialogismo e as justaposições narrativas estabelecidas na confluência entre “realidade”, “verdade” e “ficção”.
