Abstract
Cílem studie bylo zjistit, do jaké míry vyjadřuje koncept pyramidy potřeb hierarchicky utříděných dle A. H. Maslowa reálné potřeby pacientů v terminálním stádiu nemoci. Pro sběr dat (září 2013 až duben 2014) byl použit dotazník zahrnující 30 otázek. Výzkumný soubor byl tvořen zdravotnickými pracovníky zařízení typu hospic a zdravotnickými zařízeními typu léčebna pro dlouhodobě nemocné. Data byla testována pomocí Pearsonova chí-kvadrát testu.
Na základě vyhodnocených dat a provedených statistických testů bylo zjištěno, že model Maslowovy pyramidy potřeb s hierarchickými vazbami je u nemocných v terminálním stádiu nemoci významně modifikován. Tento fakt je třeba zohlednit při výuce na školách se zdravotnickým zaměřením.
