Abstract
Academic mobility is an important element for the internationalization of the higher education, but it requires an education offer of quality. Therefore it is necessary a suitable administration and management that facilitates to the educative institutions to be more competitive and to obtain thus, a Latin American integration in the superior education. Therefore, the concepts of administration and management are analyzed, are the differences among them, as well as some strategies of management that should be considered. Also the postgraduate programs accredited in the fi eld of the administration in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, México and Perú are presented, which can help to the planning of the educational offer in this fi eld of the knowledge at national level and establish alternative mechanisms to support the processes of academic mobility.
