Abstract
Este trabalho tem como objetivo mostrar a importância de utilizar a música no desenvolvimento sócio-afetivo de uma criança com Síndrome de Down na educação infantil. A metodologia utilizada foi de estudo de caso em um Centro Municipal de Educação Infantil no município de Sinop, realizada no ano de 2014 e 2015. Destacam-se nesse trabalho o uso da música dentro e fora da sala de aula, visando o desenvolvimento sócio/afetivo potencializado pelo poder da música.
