Abstract
Se describe e ilustra una nueva especie de Schwartzia Vell., S. lozaniana Giraldo-Cañas. La nueva especie se conoce únicamente de la vertiente occidental de los Andes en el departamento de Nariño (sur de Colombia) y la provincia de Esmeraldas (Ecuador).
A new species of Schwartzia Vell., S. lozaniana Giraldo-Cañas, is described and illustrated. The new species is known only from the western slopes ofthe Andes, in the departamento de Nariño (southern Colombia) and the Provincia de Esmeraldas (Ecuador).
