Abstract
Ideology is a key concept, pertaining to the Marxist and Neo-Marxist theoretical framework, by means of which an attempt is made at accounting for the way in which social control and power work. Our intention is to revisit the main paradigms which make up the theoretical background of the concept in its relation with language and the media, from traditional Marxism and Althusserian structuralism to Cultural Studies.
