<p>O Autor realiza um estudo sobre as duas principais teorias surgidas para o entendimento da estrutura e do funcionamento do processo metafórico: a teoria retórica, que considera a metáfora apenas como uma figura de estilo, e a teoria semântica, que vê na metáfora o princípio onipresente e indispensável para a renovação da linguagem humana e para a criação do texto poético.</p>
