Abstract
De madrugada sacan agua del río. Siembran, recogen la cosecha, pilan arroz y maíz, cuidan de los niños y alegran sus días con fiestas y decires. Así pasa la vida para los pobladores del Bongo, un caserío de 40 casas levantadas en fila sobre una orilla del río Sinú. En la memoria de los adultos ribereños existen dos ríos. El viejo, por el que subían y bajaban barcazas impulsadas por bogas musculosos, y el de treinta años para acá, cuando se abrieron las primeras carreteras en el departamento de Córdoba, y entonces bogas y barcazas desaparecieron.
