Abstract
El presente estudio fue realizado con el fin de dar a conocer el nivel de accesibilidad y conectividad de la red vial, constituye una herramienta importante para la coordinación de las labores de atención y gestión sobre la infraestructura vial. Por medio del presente trabajo, se plantea el diagnostico respectivo de conectividad y accesibilidad dentro de la red vial del cantón de San Carlos, Costa Rica; aplicando la Teoría de Grafos y analizando cada una de las variables que el modelo conlleva, complementando con la aplicación de los Sistemas de Información Geográfica (SIG) y el trabajo de campo. Los resultados muestran que los sectores periféricos al cantón, presentan las situaciones más difíciles en conectividad y accesibilidad, mientras que los sectores ubicados hacia el centro del cantón, presentan los mejores niveles en conectividad y accesibilidad.
