Abstract
Geographic Information Systems (GIS) support decision-making processes of sustainable development, including environment protection and road infrastructure. Their use is related to investigating the effects of environmental factors and the analysis of infrastructure. The article presents the construction of GIS system fused for the development of acoustic maps. Moreover, it also gives an example of acoustic climate evaluation in the vicinity of roads whose exploitation may have a negative influence on the environment.
