Abstract
No panorama da “Sociedade da Informação e do Conhecimento”, entende-se que as estratégias das organizações devem estar voltadas para o foco humano, pois o homem é o verdadeiro detentor do potencial de conhecimento que determina a gestão estratégica. Nessa perspectiva, surge o interesse em buscar, na literatura, subsídios para contextualizar o conhecimento na administração estratégica ao focalizar esse processo por meio da abordagem das Escolas do Pensamento Estratégico. Com as leituras, foi possível perceber a presença do conhecimento que permeia cada uma das abordagens. Na compreensão de abordar o uso do conhecimento como vantagem competitiva, está mais refletida nas premissas da escola de aprendizado, que compreende a estratégia como um processo de aprendizagem, tanto individual quanto coletivo. A vantagem competitiva do conhecimento consiste na exploração das competências distintivas, difíceis de serem imitadas. Competência, tanto individual como organizacional, só se adquire com conhecimento viabilizado pelo processo de aprendizagem contínua à luz da gestão do conhecimento. ------------ In view of the "Information Society and Knowledge" means that the strategies of organizations should bedirected to the human focus, because man is the true keeper of the knowledge potential that determinethe strategic management. From this perspective, it is intriguing to look at literature, subsidies tocontextualize the knowledge in strategic management to focus on the this process by addressing theSchools of Strategic Thinking. With the readings, it was possible to perceive the presence of knowledgethat permeate each approach. Approach in understanding the use of knowledge as a competitiveadvantage, is more reflected in the premises of school learning, which includes the strategy as a learningprocess, both individually and collectively. The competitive advantage of knowledge consists in theexploitation of distinctive competencies, not easily imitated. Competence, both individual andorganizational knowledge are acquired only possible by continuous learning process in the light ofknowledge management.
