Abstract

Desde mi reciente comentario sobre esta interesante especie, hasta ahora muy poco conocida, he tenido la oportunidad de examinar un nuevo ejemplar coleccionado también en la Amazonia colombiana: Paul H. Allen 3090, Vaupés: cabeceras de los rios Cuduyari y Cubiyú, en Yapóbodá, 400 m. alt. Dec. 10. 1943 (Herb. Nac. Colomb.), "Small tree 1.50 m. high; flowers cream". EI ejemplar citado tiene flores bien desarrolladas y capsulas sin abrir; es idéntico a R. E. Schultes 5461 y 5616 coleccionados en el mismo Vaupés pero unos 185 a 200 kilómetros más al occidente en la serranía de Chiribiquete.
