Abstract
Desde 1991, fecha en que se lleva a cabo el primer gran proceso de regularización de inmigrantes en España, puede decirse que se ha consolidado la inmigración en nuestro país. De todos los colectivos de inmigrantes, el marroquí es el más importante numéricamente. El artículo pretende establecer una reconstrucción del proceso de inmigración en España a través de la historia de la inmigración marroquí. El examen de la emigración, a través de cuestiones como legalidad/ilegalidad, medidas de control de flujos y relaciones internacionales, así como de la inmigración, por medio del análisis de los procesos de asentamiento y la presencia de las mujeres, conforman los dos grandes ejes del artículo.
