Abstract
Partindo da perspectiva de que o Compêndio Escolar foi uma tecnologia do imaginário, importante na propagação dos ideais republicanos no Rio Grande do Sul, este trabalho procurou analisar a obra “História do Rio Grande do Sul para o Ensino Cívico”, diante desse processo de construção de um imaginário social gaúcho, uma vez que,diante da implantação da República, procurou-se estabelecer relações entre o civismo e a moral exigida pela construção da nova pátria. Além disso, estudamos as alterações das diversas edições do compêndio em questão, ao longo das fases do Partido Republicano Riograndense (PRR) no panorama nacional e regional.  Evidenciou-se, então, a progressiva exaltação do civismo individual como forma de legitimar as elites do PRR nos governos do Rio Grande do Sul. ABSTRACT: Leaving of the perspective that the School Summary was a technology of the imaginary important in the propagation of the republican ideals in Rio Grande do Sul, this work tried to analyze the work "History of Rio Grande do Sul before for the Civic Teaching" of that process of construction of a social imaginary gaucho. Ahead of the implantation of the Republic it was looked to establish relations between the patriotism and the moral ethics demanded for the construction of the new native land. It is looked, of this form, to analyze the alterations of diverse editions of the compendium in question throughout the phases of the PRR in the national and regional panorama. As partial conclusions we point out the gradual dither of the individual patriotism as form to legitimize the elites of the PRR in the governments of the Rio Grande do Sul. KEY-WORDS: Castilhismo.
