Abstract
OBJETIVO: Analisar a produção científica da área da saúde na temática relacionada ao alcoolismo e recaída. MÉTODOS: Revisão narrativa, foi desenvolvida a análise de conteúdo dos artigos selecionados na base de dados LILACS e BDEnf, a busca procedeu-se no primeiro semestre de 2010, a partir das palavras “alcoolismo” and “recaída”, e, “alcoolismo” and “grupo” não houve delimitação temporal, visto que pretendeu-se analisar a produção científica acerca do tema ao longo dos anos. RESULTADOS: as 13 produções analisadas discorreram sobre questões envolvidas que puderam ser agrupadas em duas dimensões: a clínica e assistencial e a social. CONCLUSÃO: O alcoolismo está envolto por uma complexidade de fatores e é necessário reconhecê-los para se ter subsídios no seu enfrentamento. Faz-se necessário os profissionais de saúde intervir em tais dimensões para auxiliar alcoolistas em sua reintegração à família e à sociedade.
