La fotografía de arquitectura del acervo de Gumersindo Cuéllar no solo son documentos de la vida urbana y arquitectónica de Bogotá útiles a un investigador contemporáneo, son también la visión específica de un testigo crítico, lúcido y comprometido ante la rápida dinámica de transformaciones físicas y sociales de una ciudad que pasó de aldea a metrópoli y que involucró, en su torbellino transformador, las vidas mismas de sus habitantes.
