Abstract
As oficinas desenvolvidas no Pateo do Collegio e no Grupo Vida Barueri tiveram como objetivo o resgate e o registro das narrativas em um caderno de memórias produzido pelos idosos. Utilizou-se a memória como método de resgate da história socioafetiva, através da oficina de memória autobiográfica. Foram atendidos 113 idosos no período entre 2003 a 2005. As oficinas propiciaram a participação efetiva da população idosa, resgatando a dignidade e a autoestima dos narradores, promovendo uma melhoria da qualidade de vida.
