Abstract
In the Muránska valley area the magnesite industry operates about 100 years. During its operation a large amount of magnesium-bearing dusts leaked into the surroundings resulting in an alkalization of soil. The submitted contribution describes the range of conta-mination on the basis of chemical analyses of soil samples.
