L’aménagement foncier et la planification urbaine ont eu un impact considérable sur la localisation des quartiers irréguliers de la banlieue sud de Beyrouth, comme le montre le croisement des cartes de l’occupation illégale des terrains avec celles des heurts et exceptions de la réalisation du cadastre et des plans d’urbanisme de Beyrouth.
