Abstract
Este artigo tem a finalidade de introduzir o leitor na temática da violência social, sob a perspectiva da Saúde Pública. Desenvolve-se analisando o tema no âmbito da sociedade, no campo da saúde expressa na mortalidade e morbidade. Termina refletindo sobre as propostas possíveis, setoriais, intersetoriais, interprofissionais e articuladas com a sociedade e os movimentos sociais.
This article introduces the reader to the issue of social violence from a public health perspective. It analyzes the topic within society, in the field of health, as expressed by mortality and morbidity. It concludes with a focus on possible proposals by and between sectors, between professional fields, and through articulation with society and social movements.
