Abstract
Este artigo é a síntese do relatório de Estágio de Observação Supervisionado em Língua Portuguesa e Literatura realizador no segundo semestre de 2010 no 6ª semestre do Curso de Letras da Universidade do Estado de Mato Grosso, Campus Universitário de Sinop – Mato Grosso. A vivência com alunos do Ensino Fundamental possibilitou tecer considerações acerca da prática docente em Língua na realidade da escola pública, permitindo assim apresentar algumas conclusões críticas acerca do papel do livro didático e a não utilização do texto literário como combate ao dogmatismo e alienação sócio-humana.
