Abstract
En el deseo de contribuir en algo a la investigación que mucho adelantan sobre el desarrollo, orientaciones y tendencia de la cultura en Colombia, la Biblioteca Luis Ángel Arango inicia la publicación, a partir del presente número del Boletín, de una estadística donde se recoge el movimiento que mes a mes se registra en la sala general de lectura. Asimismo, para hacer más comprensibles las cifras, se incluye en página diferente una explicación suscinta de lo que son las tablas de clasificación en el sistema decimal Dewey, tomada de la edición de 1955.
