Abstract
The structural analysis of the powder prealloyed Fe-1.5 Mo steel in the presence of liquid phase sintered boron, boron matrix observed a large portion of the eutectic. Impact test results showed a greater influence for 0.4 to 0.6% B for the values of impact energy, compared with B, plus 0.2%. The character is ductile transgranular fracture surface in samples with higher boron content there are several areas clivage.
