Abstract
Esta pesquisa teve como propósito compreender os objetivos da avaliação na educação infantil e refletir sobre a importância da avaliação do desenvolvimento no processo de ensino aprendizagem nesta etapa. Fundamentou-me autores como Moisés Kuhlmann Jr, Cipriano Luckesi e Jussara Hoffmann. Trata-se de uma pesquisa de abordagem qualitativa, assim como um estudo de caso, pois estudaremos a situação de uma instituição, de alguns professores que atuam na pré-escola. A pesquisa bibliográfica nos possibilitou reconhecer os avanços na educação infantil no Brasil e por meio das entrevistas realizadas foi possível evidenciar que o processo de avaliação na creche pesquisada acontece através da observação e registro das múltiplas manifestações das crianças.
