Abstract
El doctor Gustavo Landazábal ha tocado en la presentación de su libro aspectos gremiales muy importantes, en los cuales he participado activamente dada mi condición de ex Presidente de la Asociación Colombiana de Gastroenterología y de la Asociación Colombiana de Endoscopia Digestiva y como Jefe de un Servicio Clínico que forma gastroenterólogos. Pero también el doctor Landazábal ha sido partícipe de mi decisión de ayudar a entrenar cirujanos como gastroenterólogos. De hecho un buen número de los gastroenterólogos que actualmente hacen endoscopia digestiva hicieron sus primeros pinos de endoscopia digestiva en mi servicio, porque creo que esa es una discusión arcaica que no tiene sentido y que Gustavo ha planteado en forma muy académica.
