Abstract
The theme of the article is the Greek character of philosophy understood as metaphysics in accordance with the focus allowed by M. Heidegger (1889-1976). The purpose is to show that the philosophy has its ethos in an originary Greek experience. The following hypothesis seeks in this article to be validated: the attempts to push the origin of metaphysics to another ground than the above mentioned cannot intend to be legitimate. In order to validate the argument a commentary by G. Realy from some lectures by G.W.F. Hegel will be used. Tackling these ideas leads to the acknowledge of the Greek character of philosophy and to the former as the place of its ultimate realization.
