Abstract
Brazil and Argentina possess some similarities in relationship
to economic and political history of the system of railroad
transport of goods. We propose a support to the following
questions: the construction of the railroads (How had the
railroads been constructed? Who has constructed the
railroads?), the decay of the railroads (the competition with
the highways), the dynamic nationalization–privatization and
the geography of the railroads.
