Abstract
Аналізується художня аберація як чинник поетики Лесі Українки в контексті її модерних шукань. Наголошено, що певні неточності на образному та метафізичному рівнях зазвичай підпорядковані пріоритету художньої правди. Запропоновано приклади семіотичних помилок у локальному тексті Лесі Українки. Доведено важливу сюжетотворчу роль гамартії в драматургії письменниці. Здійснено аналіз оповідання „Помилка”, яке репрезентує рефлексії героя над помилковим екзистенційним вибором. У висновках гамартію визнано символом авторського трактування модерного життя, з характерним для нього коливанням індивідуума між самотністю і солідарністю.
