Abstract
• Resumo: O artigo tem o objetivo de apresentar a vida e a obra do cineasta Ruy Guerra a partir da perspectiva identitária, mais especificamente, das identidades híbridas. Como aporte reflexivo serão usadas as concepções de hibridização para Stuart Hall e Homi Bhabha, teóricos dos Estudos Culturais. O trabalho ainda apresenta a presença do diretor no Cinema Novo brasileiro. Por fim, utilizando-se da própria definição de Ruy Guerra, chega-se a conclusão de que sua identidade é híbrida por ser ele um latino-africano sem noção de nacionalidade como espaço fixo, mas sim um cidadão da vida. Uma vida nômade.
