Abstract
Pese a su reputación de hermetismo y oscuridad, la obra de Humberto Díaz-Casanueva ha conocido en los últimos lustros una recepción notablemente más amplia y significativa, en particular fuera de Chile. Asimismo, una renovada atención crítica cala más hondamente en los fundamentos de su estética peculiar y estudia con rigor disciplinario tanto los antecedentes literario-culturales de su sistema imaginario, como las implicaciones psicoanalíticas de sus procesos de gestación profunda. El presente trabajo alude a algunas de esas orientaciones y reflexiona sobre un contexto hermenéutico alternativo y una visión más específica respecto de la valorización de esta poesía por la crítica chilena tradicional.
Despite its hermetic and obscure reputation, the work of Humberto Díaz-Casanueva has undergone a broader and more significant reception in recent years, particularly outside of Chile. At the same time, renewed critical attention is focusing more deeply on the foundations of his characteristic aesthetics and is studying rigorously the literary-cultural background for his imaginary system as well as the psychoanalytical implications of his processes of inner creation. This work alludes to some of these positions and reflects on an alternative hermeneutic context and a more specific look at traditional Chilean criticism's appraisal of this poetry.
