Abstract
En una soleada y ventosa mañana de julio se levanta del aeropuerto de Quito un impecable Electra-Jet de la empresa Tame, que brilla contra un cielo desesperadamente azul. Destino final: las Islas Galápagos. Escala: Guayaquil. Un experto piloto militar -hombre maduro y reposado- lo dirige. Al verlo. los pasajeros han experimentado una tranquilizadora sensación de seguridad, a pesar de que las ráfagas veraneras sacuden al aparato y lo mecen de un lado para otro, durante un largo rato, pero sin que -menos mal- se produzcan los inquietantes vacios! . . . Dejamos a un lado la imponente mole nevada del Chimborazo y, tras un rápido desenso, aterrizamos en Guayaquil.
