Abstract
Salmonella enteritidis is a microorganism which rarely affects muscles. We report a case of a male patient with AIDS, who suffered an episode of acute gastroenteritis due to Salmonella enteritidis, months ago. After this incident, the patient presented massive muscular necrosis in the lower limbs which led to septic shock and subsequent death.
