Abstract

A violência, vista sob a ótica da totalidade social, é reveladora de particularidades. Na intenção de ir ao cerne desse fenômeno, o presente estudo tem por objetivo analisá-la como tendência da omissão do Estado no conteúdo das Políticas Sociais. Através da fundamentação teórica e crítica do Serviço Social e da interpretação dos dados demográficos e epidemiológicos, inferiu-se que a omissão do Estado, via políticas sociais, constitui uma negligência à velhice da classe trabalhadora, reservando contraditórias demandas ao Serviço Social.
