Abstract
Air pollutants which are emitted by vehicles have direct and indirect influence on people and surrounding environment. Pollution-related threats are connected with the traffic volume, shape of road network and traffic components. GIS systems make offers great possibilities to support transportation analyses in different aspects, including those connected with air pollutions and noise arising from road traffic. The paper presents possibilities of GIS applications for analyses of emissions of air pollutants from transport in the urban areas.
