Abstract

Teknologi komputer saat ini telah menunjukan perkembangannya yang
signifikan. Sehingga sebagian besar aspek kebutuhan manusia sekarang ini
semakin dipermudah dengan adanya kemajuan teknologi komputer. Selain
mempermudah, kemajuan teknologi ini juga mendorong manusia lebih
bersifat efektif dan efisien. Gaya hidup masyarakat pun mulai mengalami
perubahan, aktifitas melalui internet dan telekomunikasi telah dapat dilakukan
secara mobile, termasuk dengan memanfaatkan telepon genggam. Salah satu
teknologi telepon genggam adalah SMS (Short Message Services), teknologi yang
dapat dimanfaatkan untuk menyampaikan dan menerima informasi berbasis teks.
Dengan menggunakan metodologi penelitian metode componen reuse yang
dimulai dengan study literature, pengumpulan data, analisis, model infrastuktur,
model business proses, model basisdata, implementasi sistem, pengujian sistem
serta evaluasi terhadap model, sehingga telah berhasil dibangun suatu model
E-Families Assistant dan perangkat lunak E-Families Assistant sebagai asisten
pribadi keluarga yang merupakan alternatif solusi bagi keluarga yang
membutuhkannya.
