Abstract
Este artigo aborda o potencial metodológico e analítico do conceito de áreas urbanas funcionais (FUAs) para os estudos urbanos e regionais, notadamente em relação ao seu uso para a análise e interpretação da dinâmica territorial em contextos regionais. Revisa-se os conceitos de policentrismo e áreas funcionais urbanas e sua aplicação na análise da dinâmica territorial na escala regional. Com base em estudo exploratório na região do Vale do Rio Pardo, no Estado do Rio Grande do Sul- Brasil, identifica-se, caracteriza-se e analisa-se as FUAS existentes no território regional, interpretando sua configuração espacial, seus principais fluxos e interações socioespaciais entre as cidades da região, decorrentes dos deslocamentos pendulares para trabalho e estudo. Observa-se a constituição de duas FUAs: a de Santa Cruz do Sul e a de Venâncio Aires, evidenciando um incipiente e desigual conteúdo policêntrico no território regional devido à orientação e à intensidade dos deslocamentos pendulares, que apontam a influência da cidade de Santa Cruz do Sul na dinâmica territorial e na rede urbana regional.
يتناول هذا المقال الإمكانات المنهجية والتحليلية لمفهوم المناطق الحضرية الوظيفية (FUAs) في الدراسات الحضرية والإقليمية، لا سيما فيما يتصل بتوظيفه في تحليل الديناميات المكانية وتفسيرها ضمن السياقات الإقليمية. كما يستعرض المقال مفهومي تعدد المراكز والمناطق الحضرية الوظيفية وتطبيقهما في تحليل الديناميات المكانية على المستوى الإقليمي. وبناءً على دراسة استكشافية أُجريت في إقليم "فالي دو ريو باردو" بولاية ريو غراندي دو سول في البرازيل، يُحدد البحث المناطق الحضرية الوظيفية القائمة في النطاق الإقليمي ويُوصّفها ويُحلّلها، مفسّراً تشكيلها المكاني وأبرز تدفقاتها وتفاعلاتها السوسيو-مكانية بين مدن الإقليم، الناتجة عن رحلات التنقل اليومي (المكوكي) للعمل والدراسة. وتخلص الدراسة إلى تشكّل منطقتين حضريتين وظيفيتين: منطقة سانتا كروز دو سول ومنطقة فينانسيو أيريس؛ مما يعكس طابعاً أولياً وغير متكافئ لتعدد المراكز في النطاق الإقليمي نتيجة لاتجاه رحلات التنقل اليومي وكثافتها، والتي تبرز الدور المؤثر لمدينة سانتا كروز دو سول في الديناميات المكانية والشبكة الحضرية الإقليمية.
