Abstract
The article approaches the importance of the work with spelling in children withlearning difficulties which influences in their best social development; it also approaches the wide possibilities that the mother tongue offers for the development of writing. It is also approaches the relation of teaching spelling with other language aspects and its incidence in the correction of children’s orthographic errors.
